ONE ROBOTIC BALL.
MULTIPLE MEASUREMENTS.
GreenKeeper Q is a robotic measurement platform built to quantify how a putting surface actually performs. Q actively drives across the turf while onboard sensors track its movement, and GreenKeeper’s physics-based modeling engine interprets how the ball interacts with green slopes, friction, and the turf canopy.
That difference makes it possible to collect multiple putting green performance measurements with one device—and to collect them on greens and green locations that were previously difficult or impossible to measure.
Place Q. Measure Performance
Q takes hundreds of measurements while it travels around the putting surface. There is no need to locate a perfectly flat location. Q measures friction, slope and trueness data and its physics model engine precisely calculates green speed to less than 2 inches.
MEASURE GREEN SPEED
The physics-based model is designed to remain accurate across a wide range of putting conditions—from slower surfaces to very fast greens—without systematic bias at the extremes. Green speed values are 4x more precise than traditional methods.
MEASURE ON A SLOPE
Slope is measured as part of every point test. Instead of moving to a separate flat area just to collect a speed measurement, managers can evaluate the locations they actually care about.
KNOW WHETHER A PIN Location IS FAIR
Place Q at a proposed hole location before cutting the cup. It then rolls autonomously in multiple directions to quantify slope, green speed and trueness. The result is a clear pin firmness rating.
Automatic Data Logging
Every roll is saved with the green, the location, the time, and the weather. See trends by green, month, mowing height, after cultivation and topdressing and during tournament weeks.
QUANTIFY TRUENESS
Q tracks small horizontal and vertical deviations from the ball’s expected path to quantify green trueness. The result provides an objective way to describe how consistently the surface allows a ball to stay on its intended line.
ASSESS CANOPY FIRMNESS
Q introduces canopy firmness—a measurement of how the ball is supported by and settles into the turf leave. Quantify whether the canopy is more susceptible to footprints and surface disruption.
A Fast and Simple Job for Any Staff Member
Traditional measurements of green speed require highly trained operators to be accurate. With Q, any maintenance staff member can collect high quality green speed data in less than a minute.
SYNCS WITH GREENKEEPER
Operate the ball, view results, and send measurements directly to GreenKeeper from your phone.
TAKE THE GUESSWORK OUT OF Setting Hole LOCATIONS.
A potential hole location is not defined by slope alone. How that location plays depends on the interaction of green speed, slope magnitude and direction, trueness, and directional turf effects such as leaf orientation.
Place Q at the proposed cup location and start the test. Q automatically moves in five directions around that point, measuring the putting surface from multiple approaches. GreenKeeper combines those measurements into a simple Pin Fairness Score.
DRIVE IT. MAP IT. SEE THE ENTIRE GREEN.
Sometimes a single point is not enough. Use your phone to drive Q across the putting surface while GreenKeeper records location, green speed, and slope.
Managers can do something that was not possible before: quickly map how putting performance changes across ridges, valleys, shelves, approaches, and other areas of the green.
Individual green performance metrics by themselves are not as valuable as how they interact together. Trueness ratings are affected be green speed, green speed is affected be slope and grain, and leaf orientation is influenced by afternoon sun and green slope. By mapping these features together, managers get a better perspective of overall putting green performance.
Measurement Precision
The patent-pending physics engine accurately measures green speed on any slope, not just flat spots. Research supports our measurement math. Friction, leaf firmness, and slope are factored to generate the most accuarate green speed possible.
MEASURE ANYWHERE. No searching for a perfectly flat spot. Every spot on every green is now within reach.
MEASURE MORE. Speed, slope, trueness, canopy firmness, and pin fairness are all autonomously measured.
MEASURE DIFFERENTLY. A robotic ball and physics-based modeling turn movement into actionable putting-surface data.
THE ROBOT IS ONLY HALF THE SYSTEM.
Q connects directly to the new GreenKeeper mobile apps for iOS and Android, making it easy to operate the robot, collect measurements, and save results directly into GreenKeeper.
Once there, Q data can be viewed alongside PGR growth suppression, mowing and rolling, cultivation practices, weather, applications, and other agronomic records—helping managers understand not just how greens are performing, but why performance is changing.
Q works with any GreenKeeper subscription level, including the upcoming GreenKeeper Lite level. Multiple Q robots can be connected to a single course account, allowing facilities and larger management teams to deploy more than one unit without creating separate software accounts..
RESERVE GREENKEEPER Q
GreenKeeper Q is being prepared for its initial early 2027 release. Reserve your Q to secure a place in the first production run. Initial availbility is limited. Bring a new level of putting green performance measurement to your operation.
